Pastor Sam’s arrival in Tulare in January of 2018 felt a lot like coming home. He was raised in Central Pennsylvania, where dairy farms abound. From there God moved him to Maryland where he attended Towson University and met his wife Sarah. They were married in 2002 and within a month’s time Sam was serving in his first vocational ministry position. The Gray’s served in two churches in Maryland before being called to Carmichael, California in 2009. Ordained in 2005, Sam has been pursuing his Master’s of Divinity from Gateway Seminary since 2014. Sam and Sarah have five children, and they enjoy camping, board and card games, basketball, music, and legos.

I was born in Ensenada, Mexico, and at the age of 14, I heard the gospel and gave my life to Christ. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving Him wholeheartedly. Music was my first ministry — inspired by my father, a professional musician from a young age — and became a gateway into church service. That service stirred a deep desire to understand the faith I was beginning to live. I began my biblical formation in my local church’s Bible institute. Later, my family moved to California, USA, where I continued ministering through music, theological studies, and a technical ministry program at Instituto CanZion in Houston, TX, graduating in 2007. In October 2023, I earned a Bachelor 's in Theology from the Instituto Internacional FDL — Fundadores de Líderes, further grounding my commitment to clear, transformative biblical teaching. God blessed me with Gabriela, my wife, and together we received the call to youth pastoral ministry. We founded a Music Institute to train a new generation of ministers who would not only make music for God but also do so with biblical understanding. That path led me to teach in various seminaries, including the renowned Shiloh Bible College in Oakland, California. In 2024, I was ordained as pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista de Tulare, which later merged with Prosperity Avenue Baptist Church, giving birth to a new congregation: Family Baptist Church. Today, we serve as a family — alongside our two children, Esteban and Emmanuel, and my beloved Gabriela — with a passion to see lives transformed through a clear understanding of their identity and inheritance in Christ.

Nací en Ensenada, México, y a los 14 años, tras escuchar el evangelio, entregué mi vida a Cristo. Desde entonces, he tenido el privilegio de servirle con todo mi corazón. La música fue mi primer ministerio —influenciado por mi padre, músico profesional desde joven— y se convirtió en un puente hacia el servicio en la iglesia. Ese servicio despertó en mí un deseo profundo de entender la fe que comenzaba a vivir. Me formé en el instituto bíblico de mi iglesia local y, con el paso del tiempo, mi familia se trasladó a California, Estados Unidos. Allí continué sirviendo a través de la música, el estudio teológico y una carrera ministerial en el Instituto CanZion (Houston, TX), donde me gradué en 2007. En octubre de 2023, recibí la licenciatura en teología del Instituto Internacional FDL — Fundadores de Líderes, lo cual ha fortalecido aún más mi compromiso con una enseñanza bíblica clara y transformadora. Dios me regaló a Gabriela, mi esposa, y juntos recibimos el llamado al ministerio pastoral con jóvenes. Fundamos un Instituto de Música para formar a nuevas generaciones de ministros que no solo hagan música para Dios, sino que lo hagan con entendimiento bíblico. Este camino me llevó a enseñar en varios seminarios, incluyendo el reconocido Shiloh Bible College en Oakland, California. En 2024, fui ordenado como pastor de la Primera Iglesia Bautista de Tulare, la cual se fusionó con Prosperity Avenue Baptist Church, dando lugar a una nueva congregación: Family Baptist Church. Pastor Ted was raised primarily in San Diego . He came to Christ as a 10th grader in May of 1982. During this time, Pastor Ted attended Calvary Southern Baptist Church. He was also attending Point Loma Nazarene College (now University) where he received his bachelor degree.  Then, in 1985, he got his first job in the church as a youth director  at Mission Village Baptist Church. Following this, he was called to move to Santee where he became the youth director of Santee First Baptist. It was here that Pastor Ted was licensed and ordained.  During Christmas of 1998,  he moved up to the Central Valley to be the pastor of Ivanhoe Southern Baptist Church.  He then married his beautiful Salvadorean wife Marta in 2003 and together they have two awesome boys. In  2014, he was called to serve as the children's and youth pastor at  PABC, where he has served since. He also currently is the director of Tulare County Association of Governments.

El pastor Ted se crio principalmente en San Diego. Llegó a Cristo como estudiante de décimo grado en mayo de 1982. Durante este tiempo, el pastor Ted asistió a la Iglesia Bautista del Sur Calvario. También asistía a Point Loma Nazarene College (ahora Universidad) donde recibió su licenciatura. Frank Austin was born at Fort Carson, Co. and was a nomadic "army brat" for 8 years. Upon his father's army retirement in 1955, the family settled in Fresno, where Frank attended Roosevelt High School, Fresno City College, Fresno Pacific University, and CSU Fresno, receiving his masters' degree in history and his secondary teaching credential. He taught special education at Tulare Union High School from 1972 to 2010. More importantly, he came to the Lord as a college student in 1968. He joined First So. Baptist Church of Tulare (now Prosperity Ave. Baptist) in 1975, and has been a member ever since, serving in numerous capacities, including deacon, Bible teacher, and music leader. Frank was married to Debbie Austin for 30 years, until her passing in 2005. They had three sons. He has been married to Raquel since 2013.

Trevor Chapman was born in Exeter, and grew up in the Woodlake. He graduated from Woodlake High School and attended College of the Sequoias. Trevor then  enlisted in the United States Army  and served for 8 years. He joined PABC in the early 2000s and has served ever since. Trevor got married to his amazing wife Christy on April 1st of 2011. Trevor has worked on satellites, cabinets, and as a solider in the army. He is currently an X-ray technician for Kaweah Health. Trevor has  3 incredible kids. He and his family love Legos and boast the best Lego collection and display of any family at PABC. He also loves painting, archery, and is a certified master of laser tag.

Trevor Chapman nació en Exeter y creció en Woodlake. Se graduó de la preparatoria Woodlake y asistió al College of the Sequoias. Tiene tres hijos increíbles. A él y a su familia les encantan los Legos y cuentan con la mejor colección y exhibición de Legos de cualquier familia en PABC.
